We had a great day at Four Rivers yesterday. Pastor Stoney told me that one person met Christ at the Calvert City campus. We also had a large
crowd there.

That new facility is truly turning out to be a big help to an already ‘on fire’ campus.

Eddyville had a great crowd despite the Spring Break crowd loss. I am really proud of the new band who led worship. They did a great job.

It was also nice to have so many guests from Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church. I really like those folks.

The Paducah campus had a stellar day. 8 people made professions of faith. Jonas and the band did a great accoustic worship set. The altar was filled with people getting serious with Christ about various things in their lives. It was an honor to be a part of it.

What are you up to this weekend?

20120413-112047.jpg

What do you look forward to on the weekend?

I’m planning on a bon fire with the family, probably a little fishing with the boys, at least one mountain bike ride and a long run with my training partner.

I’m also hoping for some time in my recliner.

And then I look forward to a few worship gatherings this weekend.

So what do you like to do on the weekends?

Hey Church Leaders & Busy Volunteers

I know Easter can be such a busy time. And it is also easy to miss out on the personal worship experience in the process of ministering to people on such a big day. Happens to me all the time…

A few years ago, we started doing additional gatherings on Easter weekend and quickly noticed that one of the types of people who came were church leaders from other congregations just looking to unplug from responsibility for a moment and worship personally.

With that in mind, if it would be beneficial to you and your family, let me invite you to one of our alternate Easter gatherings. You could worship without interfering with your normal Easter schedule.

We have gatherings on Sat, Sun & Mon evenings.

Check out FourRiversChurch.com for details.

4RC Calvert’s new facility… just in time for Easter

Got to spend the better part of the day with Calvert Associate Campus Pastor Ross Howard, Worship Leader Terry Freeman, Calvert River Kids Coordinator Leah Lummus, 4RC Tech Director Zach Bishop & my wife lovely Stephanie.

We did a great deal of technical work on the new 4RC Calvert facility. We hung big screens, ran lots of cable, worked on accent lighting, etc.

In fact, when I left, Ross & Terry were hanging doors in the River Kids area.

This weekend Dale Totten is planning on hanging the new sign on the front of the building.

4RC River Kids Director Sharon Stinson and her River Group will be working on the new middle school ministry room.

Loads of work going on.

Just in time for our weekend Easter services on Saturday, Sunday & Monday.

Check FourRiversChurch.com for all Easter worship times & locations.

New 4RC Calvert City Facility

After another day putting some finishing touches on the new 4RC Calvert City, I am so excited about this weekend. A team of 4 (20 something) young men, a few 4RC staff and some other local members of the Calvert campus made it all happen.

I’m so thankful for everyone who has worked on this facility. You are far too many to name. But you know who you are and I am truly thankful for your personal investment in all that God is doing in 4RC.

There is another work day this Saturday at 10 am. We still need to hang the big front sign, do some serious clean up & finish a few other big projects.

Please consider being there to help on Saturday.

Then, be there on Sunday morning at 9:15 & 11 to worship Christ & celebrate all that God is doing as we move into the new facility!

You’ve never seen Wednesday night church like this…

20120321-182251.jpg

These folks are awesome! They gather together at 5:30 on Wednesdays for a meal. They share their lives through story and experience. And then they gather together for worship and Bible teaching.

I’m so thankful to be a part of this church.

Thanks FourRiversChurch.com

The first time a new 4RC community takes communion together is a momentous occasion. And this was no different. Sunday night was a beautiful experience with the people of the new 4RC campus in Lyon County.
