It’s hard to believe but it’s been almost 6 months since I started posting on RiverGroups.com. Coming up on this anniversary I realized I haven’t posted an “administrative” type post since the very beginning of this endeavor. There have been a few changes since we started RiverGroups.com, so I thought today would be a good time to point out some of these changes.
First of all, I recently added a “Rate This” feature you will find at the bottom of each post. Here you can rate your opinion of the post anywhere from “Very Poor” to “Excellent.” I can’t see who rates any particular post so I won’t come looking for you if you shoot down one of my posts like a Canadian goose on the fly. Honestly, I’m thinking about using the results of this rating system to develop some sort of favorite post listing in the future.
Also, another feature you may not have noticed is “Share This,” also located below each post. If you really like a particular post you can choose to print it, email it, or even share it on Facebook and Twitter. If you use another online tool to share cool stuff with your friends, let me know and I’ll see if I can add a button for it.
Of course you can always comment on any of the posts at any time.
Finally, RiverGroups.com has actually grown beyond its original calling of being a resource to the small groups at 4RC. Now it is read by many people not attending 4RC, lots of them in several different states. To you guys I just want to say thank you and please know we consider your input valuable as well. Please feel free to comment on the posts and share the posts with others as often as you see fit.
I know I said “finally” and usually that means you’re supposed to be done, but I’ve got one more thing to say. If you have any suggestions or would like to see a particular topic discussed on RiverGroups.com, please let me know. If you don’t feel comfortable posting your suggestion on the site then feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope these posts are as beneficial for you to read as they are for me to write.
